Storyline
The storyline of Defending Jacob Season 1 follows Andy Barber (Chris Evans), an assistant district attorney in Newton, Massachusetts, whose life is turned upside down when his 14-year-old son, Jacob (Jaeden Martell), is accused of murdering a classmate.
Andy is initially reluctant to believe that Jacob could be guilty. But as the evidence mounts, he begins to doubt his son’s innocence. Andy must defend Jacob in court. While also struggling to come to terms with the possibility that Jacob may actually be a murderer.
